Auxiliary Power Contact Block for Jeep TJ | LJ | YJ

Designed for the TJ | LJ | YJ this device allows the user to gain access to 12v auxiliary power off the rear tailgate brake light contacts on the tub side. On the back tailgate there are a set of contacts for the rear spare tire brake lights. Most get away with this light, but these contacts remain. This device magnetically attaches to those contacts and allows the user to tap off those contacts for auxiliary power in the rear.  We use ours to charge a generator, power a refrigerator and has been great for over head lights while cooking or setting up camp. To protect this circuit I use a 7.5amp fuse, not the fuse that comes with the kit.
Remember the longer the wire the less amps it will carry.
You will need to measure the length wire and fuse the circuit properly

Example:
If you extend the 14g wire to 15ft fuse for 7.5 amps maximum

16 guage wire at 15ft can carry 5 amp = fuse 5 amp
12 guage wire at 15ft can carry 10amp =fuse 10 amp
14 guage wire at 15ft can carry 7.5amos = fuse 7.5
